For the first time, Groovin’ For Good and Piano N Chill are bringing together two of South Africa’s most influential sounds for an all-female DJ experience unlike anything the city has seen before.
GIRLS JUST WANNA PIANO – AMAPIANO vs GQOM
On July 18, we’re celebrating the women behind the decks with an afternoon dedicated to rhythm, culture, and community.
And we’re turning things up a notch. Joining Chicago’s finest selectors is Kwonderland all the way from Houston who brings an undeniable energy to Amapiano and gqom sounds to the dance floor.

From soulful log drums and private school piano to hard-hitting Gqom rhythms, expect a soundtrack built for dancers, music lovers, and everyone who understands the power of South African sounds.
And because it’s Groovin’ For Good, we’re pairing great music with great impact. We’ll be collecting donations in support of the H.E.A.L. Initiative by Girl Code Academy, helping provide hygiene, feminine care, hair care, and personal care essentials to young girls who need them most.
